CI² Aviation is part of a team of companies selected to perform research development and systems engineering tasks that will assist the agency in delivering a next generation (NextGen) air traffic control system. This is an $827M contract awarded in 2010 to TASC, the prime contractor, to be completed in 2020.
CI² Aviation joined the Leidos team on a $344M contract by the FAA to develop and deploy the TFDM system, which will provide electronic flight strips as well as improved surface management tools that will allow streamlined operations in the air traffic control towers for busy airports.
CI² Aviation has been engaged in the provisioning of air traffic control services with the FCT program since 1999, making it the nation’s only small and disadvantaged business enterprise responsible for the management of 21 Airport Traffic Control Towers in the United States, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
